  • What is a Conscious Consultant?

    What is a Conscious Consultant?

This week I was thrilled to graduate from the Conscious Consultant Certification program which I have been studying for since early November 2021.

This training, over the past several months, has been truly life changing for me. More on that later!

I wasn’t looking to undertake another certification. However when this opportunity presented itself, I knew it was the perfect addition to my other skills and experience.

    A Brief History

I have been an online business owner since 1999.

First I ran my own Web Development business then in 2018 I completely pivoted. I trained with Marisa Peer to become an Advanced Rapid Transformational Therapist and Clinical Hypnotherapist.

I then went on to become an ICF-credentialed and certified coach with the Human Potential Institute.

Following that I did some further coach training and certified as a 3 Brains Coach. I then delved into some much deeper hypnotherapy training and studied to receive my Advanced Diploma in Clinical Hypnotherapy and Psychotherapy.

    Why the Conscious Consultant Certification

Conscious Consultant Certification - Rose CoxSo why did I need another certification?

When I first came across this program, I was very drawn to Gemma Went who runs this certification inside her Lighthouse Business AcademyⓇ.

Many of our values aligned and although I was fairly new to Gemma’s world, I could see the high integrity that permeates her whole business.

Gemma’s background includes over two decades of experience where she blends corporate, brand and agency work. She scaled two of her own businesses to create tried and tested frameworks to help her clients get to six, multi-six and seven figures.

So I knew I was in good hands and I knew the frameworks and methods in this certification, would be a perfect fit for my own experience and methods.

Combining everything together has created a powerful blend of tools, frameworks and modalities to offer my clients so they can create sustainable and aligned businesses.

Gemma and her company focuses on creating supportive and diverse solutions for her clients and her team. This was another factor which drew me to this certification. Part of our training included a full day workshop on Inclusion and Diversity.

This training consisted of three expert speakers in the areas of Race and Racism, Neurodiversity and LGBTQ+ Awareness + Allyship.

Each of these carefully chosen speakers shared how their particular topic area applies to the coaching space. I got so many takeaways from this workshop that I am already applying to my business and sharing with my clients.

In addition to the business frameworks, tools and specialised training, a good chunk of our time during this certification was spent in an Energy Clearing Immersive.

This is a whole new topic that I will speak about in a future post but in short, this Conscious Energy Clearing Method that I am also certified in, includes a collection of energy clearing codes.

While Rapid Transformational Therapy and hypnosis works with the subconscious mind, the energy codes work with the energy system and the body.

These codes help unlock so many issues we face as online entrepreneurs. Including money blocks, imposter syndrome, visibility issues, lack of self belief and so much more. The energy codes release limiting beliefs and blocks in the energy system that hold back growth within ourselves and our business.

You may now understand why I said previously that this training has been truly life changing for me!

During our energy immersive training, we practiced on each other. The shifts I have personally had and seen in others in the program, have been incredible.

Adding the energy clearing codes to my already powerful RTT and hypnosis mindset work, is such an omnipotent combination for getting past those pesky blocks.

I’m so grateful to have this extra modality to share with my clients now I have certified and I’m doubly excited to see their results.

One thing I didn’t mention about Gemma is that she is also a highly sensitive person, empath and introvert.

Working with a coach and mentor who is also an HSP has been another key to creating success and growth in my business. I’ve been in many programs and worked with many coaches over the years and I now know the difference of working with someone who truly understands me and specifically the HSP trait.

My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.

What It Means to be Conscious

To finish up this post, I wanted to share a manifesto from our training portal in the Conscious Consultant Certification. This was the first thing I read when I joined this program and the words resonated so much and they still do.

The word ‘conscious’ is used in a variety of contexts.

At its very core, being conscious means being aware of self, of others, of surroundings.

It means being intentionally aware of your own behaviour, feelings and habits at all times.

It means being intentionally aware of how you’re affecting others and coming from a place of self ownership and compassion.

When applied to Conscious Leadership, it means understanding at a deep level how you show up in the world and the impact that you have on all who are connected to you.

It means being acutely aware of, and deeply connected with, your identity and your mission.

It means having courage, resilience, conviction and humility that, in turn, creates a powerful inner knowing and sense of self.

It means being guided by your inner mentor because you know that inside are all the answers you need.

It means being thought led not emotion led and being here for the good of all, not just for the good of self.

    Wrapping Up

  • Rapid Transformational Therapy

    Rapid Transformational Therapy

Rapid Transformational Therapy is a powerful method of therapy combining the most effective techniques from hypnotherapy, NLP (neuro linguistic programming), CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy), and psychotherapy.

Developed by Marisa Peer, accumulated over her 30 year’s experience, RTT has the potential to permanently and powerfully transform lives.

What exactly is Rapid Transformational Therapy?

Marisa PeerRapid Transformational Therapy embraces the most positive aspects of hypnotherapy including the use of trance, regression and hypnotic conditioning.

Made up of a number of different, carefully thought out techniques, RTT gets to the root of the issue using regression.

RTT is great for drawing out ‘unfinished business’ and releasing suppressed emotions and trauma a client may have been holding onto for many years.

As an Advanced Rapid Transformational Therapist, I work together with my client to uncover the meaning of past events. Together we reframe the interpretation of these events which leads to permanent change. I have many tools in my RTT toolbox. These various techniques can build on each other and they enable the mind to tell the body exactly what to do.

New patterns of behaviour are developed through the repeated listening to hypnotic audios. These are personalised for each client during a one-on-one session.

In my online program The HSP Business School, I have an RTT hypnosis for each of the six modules in this six month program. I have developed these specifically with highly sensitive people in mind and each is created specifically for that particular module.

I have also developed many hypnotic recordings for the most common issues that I come across in my clients. These are a more cost-effective way for people to get the benefits of RTT without having the expense of working one-on-one with me.

Rapid Transformational Therapy Explained in under 3 minutes

    How can RTT help you?

Having been an Advanced Rapid Transformational Therapist for over 4 years, I have worked personally with many clients.

The most common themes I come across are those clients wanting to:

    • gain more confidence
    • overcome visibility fears
    • release self-doubt
    • gain better clarity and purpose in their lives
    • let go of overwhelm
    • overcome imposter syndrome
    • embody their enoughness
    • remove lack of motivation and stuckness
    • reduce overthinking
    • increase self-worth
    • stop self-judgement
    • embrace their lovability

The results I have seen through Rapid Transformational Therapy still amaze me. The lives I have witnessed being transformed makes me so grateful that I chose to study and embrace this therapy from day one. It can be such a simple yet powerful technique.

Rapid Transformational Therapy is so much more than hypnosis. I call it beyond hypnosis.

    ~ Marisa Peer

  • How To Discover Your Life Purpose

How To Discover Your Life Purpose

Everyone has a life purpose. We were all put on this planet for a reason and each person’s reason is unique to them.

We all have our particular skills, talents, and abilities that no one else can do quite as well as we can.

Yet so many of us have not yet discovered what our purpose is.

So many people I meet are doing something they don’t even enjoy. They feel life is passing them by all too quickly but have no idea how to get out of the rut they are in.

Imagine how much more fulfilling, enjoyable, and happy your life would be if what you are doing every day is what you absolutely love to do, what really matters to you and what you truly value in life.

When you touch other people, when your words impact them and your actions empower them, your life has both meaning and purpose.

    ~ Marisa Peer

Life Try this simple exercise below to help you discover your life purpose.

Set aside ten to fifteen minutes and find a quiet spot where you won’t be disturbed. Reflect on the following questions and write them in a journal:

    1. Revisit your childhood

What did you most love to do when you were between the ages of seven and fourteen? While this may sound simplistic, this is in fact, the key to finding your life purpose.

As an example, a client of mine remembers how she used to love numbers. As a child she ran a make-believe shop for her family with her toy register. Today she is very happy in her chosen vocation as an accountant. Obviously not for everyone but each person has their own unique gift that absolutely lights them up.

    2. Dig into your feelings

When was the last time you really experienced a feeling of joy and flow?

What were you doing that gave you this sense of satisfaction?

What was it about what you were doing that made you feel great?

    3. Role model

Think of two or three people whom you most admire.

What is it about them that you admire? Is it what they do, how they interact with others, how they portray themselves to the outside world?

    4. Your values

Write down your top five values then next to each one, what resonates most with you about these values?

    5. Future vision

Imagine your life 2 years from now.

You’re feeling a huge sense of accomplishment and satisfaction in all you have achieved in that time.

What is it about your achievements that excites you the most? What changes have you made in your life?

    Wrapping up

Now reflect on what you have written and look for common themes.

Share them with a loved one, a friend or a coach.

Often talking about your findings can give you even more clarity.

Finally, keep these findings somewhere that you will see them every day. Constantly reflect on how you can incorporate them into your life and what changes you can make to start applying them now.

  • Do You Want to Banish Self Doubt?

Do You Want to Banish Self Doubt?

Many highly sensitive people long to banish the self doubt we can so often be plagued with.

For years, I suffered with this myself.

I would always second-guess my choices and decisions.

Always quick to compare myself to others. I was riddled with self doubts that I could ever achieve what they had.

Even though I had so much knowledge and experience I still doubted my abilities to reach my goals and dreams.

When I discovered how to reframe my thoughts and beliefs, things really started to change for me.

This involved not only the tools I use as a Rapid Transformational Therapist but also many mindset hacks and strategies I have learnt over the years.

I’ve been studying psychology in many forms since my 20s. Having a thirst for self-improvement has guided me to the exact courses, certifications, coaches and mentors that I needed.

In this post, I want to share some quick tips to help you banish any self doubt that may be lurking around for you.

You’ll learn some mindset hacks to rewire your self limiting beliefs to set you up to achieve what you want to in your life.

    Comparisonitis

As I mentioned earlier, I used to be very quick to compare myself to others.

From years working with many clients, I know this is extremely common.

What I discovered recently however, is that as HSPs we often compare ourselves to non-HSPs. By doing this, we make it so much harder for ourselves. We truly do ourselves a great disservice.

Highly sensitive people are wired differently and we have different brains. Therefore comparing ourselves to non-HSPs can lead to disappointment, not feeling enough, massive self doubt, and so much more.

Once we learn more about our HSP trait and give ourselves credit for the wonderful gifts we have, then we can leave the comparisonitis behind.

It’s not a case of HSPs being better or non-HSPs being better, we’re just wired differently and each of us has our advantages and our challenges.

And because we are in the minority as HSPs the world is set up differently for us. Especially in the western world we are taught to hustle, to juggle as many tasks as we can, to ‘get over’ ourselves if we feel overwhelmed and can’t keep up with others.

But remember, we’re wired differently so we don’t have to keep up with others.

In fact, as HSPs, once we acknowledge our trait and learn how to look after ourselves, we can actually get more done than non-HSPs.

Yes, one of our many superpowers!

I believe there are three keys to banishing self doubt and overcoming self-limiting beliefs.

    1. Awareness

As I mentioned earlier, our HSP brains are wired differently to non-HSP brains.

When we have this awareness, this is the first step to self-acceptance and self-compassion.

So become aware of certain limitations you may have as an HSP.

An example could be, being overstimulated easily because we process everything around us much more deeply and we take in so much more information.

In a previous post, Do you have the HSP trait?, I talked about how we have 50-100 paths of information coming into our brains. Compare that to a non-HSP who has three or four paths of information.

So naturally we become more overstimulated.

However once we are aware of this we can take steps towards turning this into a superpower.

    2. Self talk

This brings me to the importance of the words we say to ourselves. Our self talk.

Are they real or are they made up? Are they limiting our potential? Are they adding to our self doubt?

If they’re made up, and not in our best interest, we get to decide to say different words.

We get to decide to rewire our own self talk. We have a choice.

Self talk is covered in more depth in a previous post if you want to dive into this further.

The most important words you say in your life are the words you say to yourself.

    – Marisa Peer

    3. Repetition

We have anywhere between 6,000 and 70,000 thoughts going on in our heads every day. Most of them are the same, they’re looping, on repeat.

In fact 95% of these thoughts are repetitive. So if these repetitive thoughts and words you say to yourself are negative, how do you think that affects your actions, your behaviours and your emotions?

Most of these thoughts are subconscious. You can never outperform your subconscious mind but you can rewire it.

And by rewiring it I mean by creating new neural pathways which I like to call grooves. So think of your neural network as grooves and the way to rewire these grooves is to create a new set of grooves that are in service to you. To your dreams and desires.

Once these grooves are in place, the old grooves or old thoughts, will in time, be erased.

Self doubtJust imagine if that 95% of your subconscious thoughts that were once negative are flipped around to be positive. Think of the possibilities that open up for you.

Expect it to be uncomfortable to start with because the mind loves what is familiar and will do its best to keep the unfamiliar out of your reach. But with repetition you can make the unfamiliar, familiar and create your new grooves, your new neural pathways.

To get through the uncomfortable, you need to be 100% committed – no matter what. You need to remain committed to repeating your new thoughts over and over.

And it can take time, It can take a few weeks, a few months or even longer.

Because these old grooves, these old thoughts, in many cases have been around for years, decades …

    How do you do this?

Going back over the three keys you start with first become aware of a limiting thought you have about yourself.

Don’t judge, just be aware of it.

Gently thank it and let it know you’re ready to let it go.

Next, change the thought to something more positive.

    Finally is repetition.

When I work with my clients in an RTT session, I make a transformational recording with their new words, their dreams and desires, and as they listen to this every day. This allows them to lay down new grooves, new neural pathways.

You can do this yourself however, which I’ll get to in a minute.

As an example, a self-limiting belief of mine used to be – that I was too quiet, too shy and I could never put myself out there.

Now I know that one of my superpowers is that I have the ability to really help others because of my intuition. I can sense the true potential in someone and I can help them to uncover this.

    Creating a power statement

So I created my new set of grooves by changing my words and my thoughts. I replaced ‘not wanting to put myself out there’ to thinking of all the people I could help by sharing the wonderful gifts I’m so blessed to have.

With this awareness and knowledge, I created the following power statement – ‘I confidently attract the most wonderful clients who I joyfully serve with my gift of intuition.’

Then I wrote this power statement on two post-it notes. One I kept next to my computer so I saw it every day when I was working. The other, I put in my bathroom so I saw it throughout the day.

I also added it to a self hypnosis recording that I made for myself. I listened to this every day, sometimes twice a day, for about three months.

What you can do is to record your power statement on a Voice Memo app or similar on your phone. Then listen to it every morning and last thing at night before you go to sleep.

    Remember, repetition is key!

As HSPs, I know you are very creative and will come up with some awesome power statements so you can turn your self doubt thoughts and words around. I would love you to share those in the comments below or send me an email via the contact form.

And if you have any questions, please let me know.
